Outage cuts power in Norman Monday

A partial outage briefly knocked out at least one phase of electrical power in Norman Monday morning.The outage was reported about 10:30 a.m. Most power was restored about 11:15 a.m.OG and amp;E spokesperson Karen Kurtz said the electrical outage affected about 442 customers in central Norman.

First ’smart’ meter installed in Norman

A couple in south Norman became the first household in the state to receive a new smart meter from OG and amp;E Monday morning.OG and amp;E spokesman Brian Alford said all of Norman’s 42,000 customers — business and residential — will get the new $120 meters, which can be installed in less than five minutes.

(AP) — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is shutting down a mobile command center used to support the search for a missing 7-year-old girl.The command center being closed Tuesday had been posted at Geronimo City Hall in western Oklahoma to help search for 7-year-old Aja Johnson and her suspected kidnapper, Lester Hobbs.
